Cork Film Centre is a resource-based organization, focused on developing, promoting and facilitating people working creatively in the medium of the moving image.

Cork Film Centre's goals are:

To foster an audio-visual culture and increase cine-literacy in the region

To encourage participation in and experimentation with the moving image

To facilitate those wishing to use the moving image creatively.

To this end, Cork Film Centre provides access to moving image resources for film-makers, animators, video artists and those wishing to use emerging technologies. Cork Film Centre actively stimulates cultural development for the advancement of indigenous film-making
