Mobility Funding Guide: Kazakhstan

The Mobility Funding Guide: Funding Opportunities for International Cultural Exchange in Asia, Guide to Kazakhstan provides an introduction to the cultural context in Kazakhstan.

The document is not conceived as a guide to funding cultural mobility for artists and cultural professionals from and to Kazakhstan, but as a listing of websites and information platforms which may be relevant to find out more about cultural policy, cultural organisations, funding organisations and resource-based articles related to Kazakhstan. As usual for such a concise resource document, the aim is not to duplicate information but to signpost existing resources and information.

The document is divided into general information about Kazakhstan and its cultural policy, culture related organisations, events and artists, funding organisations, examples of Asia-Europe and Kazakhstan cooperation in art and cultural projects and guides for those looking to travel to Kazakhstan.

The guide is an attempt to gather a number of resources in one document and is by no means complete. Rather, it is a starting point for research into funding for mobility in the Kazakhstan context. You can learn about how to read the mobility funding guides here

Since 2012, the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) and On the Move (OTM) have jointly presented the Mobility Funding Guides for International Cultural Exchange for the 51 countries of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM).
