The Messenger Band

The Messenger Band (MB) was founded in 2015 by a group of garment workers. They grew from the Women’s Agenda for Change (WAC), a grassroots advocacy organisation for women’s rights which has been working on self-determination, awareness, and empowerment for female garment workers, enabling them to challenge gender stereotype, discrimination and harassment at their work place. MB’s mission is to compose and perform original songs that reflect the current problems faced by the working class and impoverished people of Cambodia.
