culture360.org is looking for a new  Editor ASIA – deadline 15 February 2011

culture360.org is a unique online platform that connects the people of Asia and Europe through Arts and Culture.
culture360.org aims to bring Asia and Europe closer by providing information, facilitating dialogue and stimulating reflection on the arts and culture.

The Editor Asia will be in charge of providing relevant content following the structure of culture360.org with news, events, opportunities and publications across all arts and culture disciplines.

The Editor Asia will also write one article per month related to a relevant issue in and between Asia and Europe.

The Editor Asia will cover the information coming from all current Asian ASEM countries (ie. Brunei, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam) and new ASEM members (ie. Australia, New Zealand, Russia).

The ideal candidate will be:

-          Based in Asia with a strong and broad knowledge of the arts and culture scenes of Asia

-          At least 4 years previous working experience as editor for online magazines/portals specialised in arts and culture with an Asian focus

-          A strong profile as art writer, researcher and contributing editor

-          Team player that will work in close coordination with the Editor Europe and the editorial team at the Asia-Europe Foundation

-         Proactive approach in searching for information

For this position the Editor Asia will receive a fee of SGD 1,300 per month.
