The first international documentary marketplace in Asia, Asian Side of the Doc is organised in Xiamen, on the South-East coast of China, from March 17-20, 2015. A pitching opportunity for documentary film projects and event registration are open.

The 6th edition will connect you forward with the booming Asian factual TV market.

A CALL FOR PROJECTS for the pitching sessions is open (deadline: February 6) - the organisers are looking for strong projects, with appeal to Asian broadcasters, co-producers or other funders. They can be one-offs or series. Transmedia/interactive projects are also accepted. Themes: Science, Discovery, Wildlife, History, Economy, Arts & Culture.

Asian Side of the Doc features four days of sales market, pitching sessions with awards, panels, one-to-one meetings, training workshops, networking and social events—all to co-produce, sell and buy documentary.

The 2015 event puts the spotlight on how to develop “Asia to Asia” and “Asia to the rest of the world” co-productions, with the proven benefit of a 1500 m2 exhibition space enabling the buying and selling of programmes.
