C A L L - F O R - E N T R I E S | designboom in collaboration with DA - japan design association NPO - promote an international art + design competition. Participation is open to applicants from all over the world from young students to young professionals, and young design-enthusiasts (age 30 and under). Finalists works to be exhibited at Tokyo Design Week 2013. Cash prizes.

accepted work genres are  :

architecture/interior/product/fashion/textile/photography/WEB/image/marketing/graphics/illustration/art/media arts/crafts/space design/animation/music etc.

02 - asia awards info

A comprehensive asian creative award has been established to gather all the young creative and high‑quality professional power from Asia and around the world in the centre of Tokyo. It aims to become a platform for students and young designers to help them develop their capabilities to excel on the global stage. The international design & art award aims to foster and dispatch young energetic talented designers from all over the world.

03 - awards

There are five finalist cash prizes of 200,000 JPY (ca. 2,000 USD each).

The winners will have to actually create the projects, products, illustrations etc. The winners should use the cash prize for travel expenses to Tokyo and/or for actually making the artwork. All the 5 finalist works will be exhibited in the TOKYO DESIGNERS WEEK 2013 in the central venue (oct. 26th ‑ nov. 4th, 2013) in a the asia award exhibition with other 25 works.

In a second step, in tokyo, 10 finalists will be chosen among the total 30 works for a live-presentation in front of the jury, and 3 final award winners will be chosen to receive a grand and semi-grand prix.

1 grand prix 1,000,000 JPY (ca.  USD 10,000)

2 semi-grand prix  300,000 JPY  (ca. USD 3,000 )
