The 43rd International Film Festival of India is an annual event organized by the IFFI Secretariat for Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India in collaboration with the State Government of Goa and the India Film Industry. This year, the event will take place from 20th to 30th November 2012, in Goa. The theme of the festival is 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' i.e. The Whole World is One Family. The festival aims at 'providing a common platform for the cinematography of the world to project the excellence of film art; contributing to the understanding and appreciation of film cultures of different nations in context to their social and cultural ethos; and promoting friendship and co-operation among people of the world'. The program of the festival is divided into (i) Competition: Feature films by Directors from All Continents, (ii) Out of Competition : 'Cinema of the World', (iii) Foreign Retrospectives, (iv) Indian Panorama, (v) Indian Retrospectives, (vi) Film Bazaar, (vii) Technical Workshops, (viii) Indian Premieres.
