World Textile Symposium 2012 in Malaysia

The symposium aims to provide a platform for exchange of the latest information regarding innovative design and practices of textile traditions especially in the ASEAN region and to present these success stories of practitioners and their continuing efforts in promoting and marketing their products.

This symposim will include two days of paper presentation, a batik block workshop, visit to the National Craft Expo and launch of the UNESCO award of Excellence for Handicraft 2012. Presenters include representatives from the World Craft Council and experts from Malaysia and the ASEAN region.
Admission to the symposium is free of charge. Registration required.  Register with the National Craft Council at wts2012@kraftangan.gov.my
