INTERCHANGE FESTIVAL_n Monsoon Australia takes place in Bundanon, NSW, Australia during the first half of November 2015. An international residency platform, guiding collaborative pathways between nine artists from Europe, Asia and Australia, Monsoon Australia concludes on 13-15 November with the Interchange Festival, a series of performances, insights and debates, open to the public. Not Yet It's Difficult (NYID) joins Critical Path and Belgium’s Kobalt Works in this international residency platform. David Pledger and co-curators and co-facilitators Arco Renz (Kobalt Woks) and Margie Medlin (Critical Path, Australia) will help guide collaborative pathways between nine artists from Europe, Asia, and Australia. Monsoon will explore artistic material through dramaturgical input, using a round-robin format to maximise cross-cultural engagement. The project seeks to insinuate in artists the values of serious artistic exploration in an interdisciplinary and cosmopolitan arts context. Participating artists: Adelina Larsson (Australia), Ahilan Ratnamohan (Belgium), Geumhyung Jeong (Korea), Joseph Keith (JK) Anicoche (Philipines), Nathan Gray (Australia), Ole Khamchanla (France), Rebecca Jensen (Australia), Rita Pinto de Morais (Portugal), Venuri Perera (Sri Lanka). Monsoon is a transcultural, multidisciplinary research and performance platform for Asian and European artists initiated by German choreographer Arco Renz (Artistic Director, Kobalt Works, Belgium). Critical Path will host a Monsoon Australia residency, working during 2 weeks with nine artists from Europe, Asia, and Australia. Co-curated and co-facilitated by Arco Renz, David Pledger and Margie Medlin, Monsoon will explore artistic material through dramaturgical input, using a round-robin format to maximise cross cultural engagement.
