The 2013 Cheongju International Craft Biennale opens in Korea September 11 - October 20. On the theme of Something Old Something New, the award-winning works in the International Craft Competition will be exhibited. The Cheongju Guest Country Pavilion in 2013 is Germany. German contemporary craft and design is presented as the ‘functional durability’ which contains the view of daily life and as the ‘extensive diversity’ which covers tradition and contemporaneity altogether. In the 'German Contemporary Arts & Crafts' exhibition, spectators can discover contemporary sensibility of global craft and design along with the trends of German contemporary craft and design German Contemporary Arts & Crafts will be showing about 530 works by 146 artists in four sections:
