Fandango was founded in 1989. It produces films for cinema and television. It produced its first film "La Stazione" in 1990 and its distribution activities started in 2001 with the movie "Il partigiano Johnny by Guido Chiesa."

Fandango also produces documentaries (Super8stories by Emir Kusturica, Sesso Marmitte e videogames by Daniele Vicari and Radio Alice by Guido Chiesa). Besides being a film company, it is also a publisher, music label, web radio and runs a literary café in the center of Rome.
