Bangladesh Institute of Theatre Arts

Bangladesh Institute of Theatre Arts (BITA), a non-government organisation, has been administrating development initiatives focusing on human rights, cultural upliftment and poverty alleviation since 1994. BITA has introduced culture as a mode of wide and effective human communication, where marginalised and deprived communities are program participants.

BITA has also developed an innovative theatre process with the support of PETA (Philippines Educational Theatre Association). Based on this process, BITA has developed a theatre manual which incorporates selected issues, such as how to involve the marginalised people in the theatre making process, culture and development and more.
