Germany | Travel grant for dance educators 2025

The German Dance Association (Dachverband Tanz Deutschland, DTD) is calling for applications from dance educators based outside of Germany (in Europe and beyond) who are travelling to attend advanced movement analysis and teacher training programmes offered in Germany.

The aim for the grant is to promote international exchange, networking, and qualification in the field of dance pedagogy. In 2023, the DTD first introduced a travel grant for dance educators, receiving over 100 applications due to high interest.

In the context of joint training sessions or workshops, participants will engage in a shared exchange of experiences and knowledge. They will not only learn the training content provided in Germany but also share their values and methodologies in a collaborative artistic-pedagogical setting.

Eligibility

The education and training programmes can be attended from 1 May 2025 to 31 July 2026 and must take place in Germany. All individuals residing outside of Germany are eligible to apply.

Funding

The funding covers travel (up to 1,000 EUR for European applicants and up to 1,500 EUR for non-European applicants) and accommodation costs. Short distance flights will not be covered for environmental reasons.
