The 10th IN THE PALACE International Short Film Festival is slated to begin in Bulgaria on the 29th June 2012. Held in the Black Sea town of Balchik, IN THE PALACE is a festival dedicated to short films under 45 minutes in length. Established in 2003, the festival has grown from a competitive forum for student films into the largest and most prestigious short film festival in Bulgaria and the region. The Festival aims to present the contemporary film art in Bulgaria, Europe and the World, contributing to its development and creating a favourable environment and platform for young filmmakers and established professionals. In its 10th avatar, the festival would begin on the 29th June and close on 7th July 2012. Apart from a national competition and Bulgarian special section on short films, the festival also hosts an International competition with screenings of over a hundred films scheduled to be screened in 10 days.
