Romanian Cultural Institute in Beijing, China

The Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) in Beijing (China) was launched in 2015. The new Romanian cultural institute from abroad represents the first institutional and cultural presence of Romania, not only in China, but on the entire Asian continent.

The general aim of ICR Beijing is to raise the profile of Romanian culture around the Asian continent. In order to achieve this, it spreads information and spearheads cultural projects involving Romanian artists and writers. Furthermore, the Romanian Cultural Institute Beijing acts as means through which foreign audiences can experience the products of Romanian culture.

The Romanian Cultural Institute Beijing facilitates the cultural exports from Romania as one of ICR branches. The Romanian Cultural Institute Beijing functions in the most spectacular centers, inside Galaxy SOHO complex and developed in 2015 a convincing number of projects and cultural events such as: supporting the importance of Romania’s participation at the international Biennale from Beijing, at the International Book Fair from Beijing, Ţăndărică Animation Theater, organizing the exhibitions or the violin concert performed by Alexandru Tomescu at the Central Conservatory of Music from Beijing.
