Europa Nostra

Europa Nostra represents a rapidly growing citizens’ movement for the safeguarding of Europe’s cultural and natural heritage. 

Their pan-European network is composed of 250 member organisations (heritage associations and foundations with a combined membership of more than 5 million people), 150 associated organisations (governmental bodies, local authorities and corporations) and also 1,500 individual members who directly support their mission. Europa Nostra acts as advocates of heritage towards policy-makers at all levels of governance, it campaigns to save threatened heritage sites through the 7 Most Endangered programme and it promotes excellence through the European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards.

Europa Nostra is also a connection to the European Union, the Council of Europe and UNESCO.
