Trans Europe Halles

Trans Europe Halles is one of the oldest and most dynamic cultural networks in Europe. They have been at the forefront of repurposing abandoned buildings for arts, culture and activism since 1983. They are based in Sweden and have 140 members in 40 different countries across Europe – from Spain to Georgia.

Twice a year TEH meets to exchange knowledge, to start conversations and to connect with other cultural changemakers. They also collaborate regionally and thematically through the Hubs. They launch projects together and form partnerships based on common interests, goals and ideas. Throughout the year, they organise training, workshops and seminars. They are specifically interested in business innovation and the organisational development of member centres. They aim to amplify the voice of the cultural and creative sector in Europe by influencing policy-making processes. They forge strategic partnerships with business, public administration and academia and get involved in events that can influence public policies.
