The second ICC Comic Award commemorating the Year of Rapprochement of Cultures 2010 is now calling for entries.  The selected works will be shown at the 11th International Comic Artist Conference held in Bucheon, South Korea, 15-19 September 2010.

The year 2010 is designated as the International Year for Rapproachment of Cultures by UNESCO and celebrated worldwide. The goal is to promote world peace by encouraging the rapproachment among cultures, civilisations and people, as well as by facilitating increased communication between civilisations through the emphasis on the importance of cultural diversity in the international community.

Comic is an art form that touches our heart, transcending language and culture. It allows us to share various values and thoughts . It has teh power to move people's hearts more easily than any other media on the global issues that require our attention. The second ICC Comic Award would like to call for an entry of comic art works that bridge the disparate cultures and bring them closer, and to show the works at the 11th International Comic Artist Conference held in Bucheon, Korea.

The Award has an ambition of presenting comic not only as an art form but also as a dynamic means for contributing to society.
