Gyeonggi Creation Center would like to announce the Open call for resident artists in the year of 2014. There are 12 residency places available for individual artists/teams and the centre is open to applications in a wide range of artform disciplines.

Application deadline for submissions is 30th of November 2013

The major field of artist selection is painting, photography, sculpture, installation, film/animation, new media, architecture, design, ceramic, crafts, dance, performance, music, sound and poem, non-fiction, theatre play, children’s literature, critic: all the professions can apply as well as mixed-media and other genres. Gyeonggi Creation Center would like to construct various artists covering various mediums and fields to dynamic exchange and experimentation.

The selection process will be started in early December through January, 2014 going through preliminary and secondary for document examination and telephone interview with curators from GCC for the third stage. The selection committee will be composed of high-profile art professions in Korea and the successful applicants will be provided a studio, mentoring program, opportunity for international exchanges and exhibitions in Korea. GCC can provide all the possible documents such as entrance visa to Korea, certificate sending other institutions as GCC resident artist and other reasonable cases.

Gyeonggi Creation Center opened in October 2009 as an international art residency to support creative work and research for artists of all nationalities.
