CIMAM 2017 Conference in Singapore | apply for travel grants

CIMAM, International Committee for Museums and Collections of Modern Art, holds its 2017 Annual Conference in Singapore, 10-12 November 2017.  Travel grants are available for modern and contemporary art museum or collection directors and curators in need of financial assistance to attend, as well as for eligible researchers and independent curators in the non-profit sector.

Grants are restricted to modern and contemporary art museum or collection directors and curators in need of financial help to attend CIMAM’s Annual Conference. Researchers and independent curators whose field of research and specialization is contemporary art theory, collections and museums are also eligible. Applicants should not be involved in any kind of commercial or for profit activity.

While curators of all career levels are encouraged to apply, priority is given to junior curators (less than 10 years’ experience). Candidates who have previously received CIMAM grants from the same grant contributor may only be considered for a new grant after 3 years since the previous grant was awarded.

The CIMAM 2017 Annual Conference will be held in Singapore from 10 to 12 November hosted by the National Gallery Singapore with a Pre-conference Tour to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (8–9 November) and Post-Conference Tour to Jakarta and Yogyakarta, Indonesia (13–15 November).

Thanks to the generous support of the Getty Foundation, MALBA–Fundación Costantini, the 富邦 FUBON Art Foundation and Alserkal Avenue Programming, CIMAM offers travel grants to contemporary art museum professionals to attend CIMAM’s 2017 Annual Conference that will be held in Singapore, 10–12 November 2017.
