Australian Book Review welcomes entries to the tenth Calibre Prize for an Outstanding Essay, which is worth AUD $5,000. Calibre is Australia’s premier award for an original essay. Anyone writing in English is eligible, regardless of where they live.

Essays must range from 3,000 to 7,000 words and must be written in English.

Deadline for entries is 18 January 2016
