ENCATC Research Session | call for proposals on cultural policy and networks

International call from ENCATC European network on cultural management and policy to submit abstracts or thematic session proposals for the 8th Annual ENCATC Research Session which will take place in Brussels on Friday, 29 September. Proposals from any relevant discipline will be considered, provided that they make an original academic contribution to the study of arts management and cultural policy.

OPEN CALL: 8th Annual ENCATC Research Session

From 27-30 September in Brussels, ENCATC will hold its 25th Congress on Cultural Management and Policy. The 2017 theme will be “Click, Connect and Collaborate! New directions in sustaining cultural networks”.

As part of this major international congress, the 8th Annual ENCATC Research Session will be held on Friday, 29 September. Submissions of abstracts or thematic session proposals are welcome that relate to the 2017 Congress theme or any relevant discipline will be considered, provided that they make an original academic contribution to the study of arts management and cultural policy.

Topics of interest are related to the main Congress theme, “Click, Connect and Collaborate! New directions in sustaining cultural networks”:

  • Networks governance leadership

  • Business models

  • Evaluation processes and methods

  • Internationalization of networks


Other arts management and cultural policy areas:

  •  Arts and culture education

  • Cultural policy and arts management

  • Culture and local, regional and national development

  •  Cultural heritage management

  • Cultural and creative industries

  • Culture in external relations and cultural diplomacy

  • Cultural networking


All accepted papers will be published in an electronic book of proceedings (with ISBN) which will be published for the Congress. The electronic book of proceedings may include papers in English and French.
