Asian Producers’ Platform Camp 2023

The Asian Producers’ Platform (APP) is calling for applications from emerging and established producers of performing and interdisciplinary arts from Asian countries for their 2023 Camp, to be held in Bangkok and Chiangmai, Thailand, 1–9 April 2023.

Through activities such as site visits, talks, discussions, research, and spending time together, participants have the opportunity to get an understanding of the local arts and cultural scenes, cultural policy and the landscape artists work in, and to meet, exchange, and learn from and with fellow producers from across Asia

The Camp allows participants to:

  • Develop industry networks
  • Explore producing as creative practice
  • Develop intercultural practice
  • Develop arts leadership

Taking place over eight days, participants will have the opportunity to encounter the local arts and cultural ecosystems in Thailand. Spending time between the capital, Bangkok, and the largest city in North Thailand, Chiangmai, participants will also get to see how cultural and economic policy shapes and informs each city’s ecosystem. Participants will also get to learn from each other’s experiences and contexts, and about the challenges and opportunities faced by Thai producers and artists, in relation to local and international socio-political events and the pandemic

Who can apply?

Emerging and established producers of performing and interdisciplinary arts from Asian countries are invited to apply. Southeast Asian practitioners are particularly encouraged to participate.
