UNESCO survey on the Status of the Artist recommendation - deadline extended

UNESCO is undertaking an important review of the implementation of the UNESCO 1980 Recommendation concerning the Status of the Artist. UNESCO invites your organisation to participate in the survey.

UNESCO is particularly interested at this stage in hearing from respondents in Asia where the survey rate has been low to date.

This is a timely and valuable exercise that will furnish UNESCO with current data regarding the status of the artist nationally, regionally and globally, and which will be reflected in a consolidated report to be presented to the UNESCO General Conference in 2015.

NEW survey deadline: 15 March 2015

A Survey is being sent to all UNESCO Member States as well as Non-Governmental Organizations and other civil society organizations.

UNESCO invites your organization to participate in the Survey. Please check the following documents:

the Circular Letter of the Assistant Director-General for Culture dated 15 October 2014;

the text of the 1980 Recommendation concerning the Status of the Artist.
