March 20 is celebrated worldwide as a World Day of Theatre for Children and Young People by the international community of theatre practitioners for childen and young people. On that occasion, in all theatres, messages written by distinguished artists from the field are read before the performances and special events are organized.

ASSITEJ's campaign slogan is 'Take A Child to the Theatre Today'. It's a call to parents, grandparents and guardians to take the children in their care to the theatre on March 20th (and of course on every day of the year).
