The Visual Documentary Project 2016 organised by the Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS), Kyoto University announces the winning documentaries, which will be screened in Kyoto and Tokyo this December.
The Visual Documentary Project received 75 wonderful works from across Southeast Asia under the theme of “Politics in Everyday Life in Southeast Asia” this year. Out of 75 works, following 5 successful documentaries are selected. We will screen those works in Kyoto and Tokyo this December. Also, directors and team members will be invited to Japan for the screening and have a talk and discussion with commentators.
Three selected works are from Myanmar, one from the Philippines and a 5th selected work comes from Thailand.
