The 2011 edition of the Franco-Chinese cultural festival Croisements will take place across 25 Chinese cities and offer a total of 183 events over a period of 10 weeks. The festival has chosen an eclectic mix for its programming which includes contemporary circus, baroque music concerts, as well as interactive art exhibitions. Franco-Chinese productions will also be featured, notably a collaboration between the Beijing Dance Theatre and the choreographer. Anthony Agea. Jean-Paul Wenzel and William Mesguich will direct Chinese actors in The Misanthrope by Molière. The festival will also offer its support to smaller satellite events including:
  • The 8th Panorama of French Film in Beijing, Chengdu, Shenzhen, and Hangzhou.
  • A display of the famous photography festival Les Rencontres d'Arles at the Caochangdi Photospring Festival.
  • The Fete de la Musique which celebrates its 5th anniversary in Wuhan in presence of special guests.
  • A week of French music from Xiamen at the Gulangyu Festival in Beijing.
  • The pianist Bertrand Chamayou's performance at a recital in Beijing in presence of other musicians.
