eksperimenta Eksperimenta! is the biggest international youth contemporary art event, taking place in Tallinn, Estonia 23 October - 23 November 2014. It gives young people the opportunity to present their artwork at an international triennial. E! 2014 will exhibit art work by 14 – 19 year old artists from 11 countries: Estonia, Latvia, Finland, Russian Federation, Germany, Slovenia, Portugal, Turkey, South Korea, Canada, Brazil. Eksperimenta! 2014 will take place from 23rd of October until 23rd of November 2014 in St. Catherine's Church and Hopner House in Tallin. The topic of E! 2014 “Art & Science” invites to integrate contemporary art, art education and different fields of sciences. E! triennial offers a cooperation platform for young people, art educators, artists, curators, and scientists, being a kind of creative laboratory where new innovative knowledge is born. The main aim of Eksperimenta! is bringing art and art education closer to each other and thus initiate sustainable changes in art education.  Eksperimenta! consists of three parts: 1) a triennial exhibition consisting of national expositions curated by professional curators; 2) IDEAlaboratory – an education and exchange programme; 3) a network of art schools and art centres. E! 2014 will take place on topic "Art & Science". In the frames of The Contemporary Art Triennial Eksperimenta! Eduko IDEAlaboratory will take place on 24th and 25th of October 2014. Two days conference will focus on integrating contemporary art and science and will bring together education experts, teachers, scientists, artists and students.
Eksperimenta! 2011 took place as part of the European Capital of Culture Tallinn 2011 programme at Tallinn Song Festival Grounds and in Maarjamäe Palace from April 27 – June 14 2011 and presented contemporary art on the topic “Space” by young artists from 13 countries. The triennial exhibited more than 400 artworks by 14-19 year old artists from Canada, Portugal, Germany, Slovenia, Turkey, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Russia, South Korea, Iceland and Ireland.
