The 2011 CIGE edition is divided into 4 main projects: • CIGE 2011 SOLO SHOWS MAPPING ASIA The 1st floor of the Exhibition Hall of the China World Trade Center hosts over 10 solo shows of young and emerging artists in Asia. The projects are realized in collaboration with art galleries. • CIGE 2011 SUBLIMINALS At the entrance of the China World Trade Center, SUBLIMINALS presents 10 not-for-sale projects realized by not-for-profit art organizations and cultural centers. Each project occupies 15 sq meters space. Non-for-profit organizations usually do not directly participate in art fairs, but play an important role in the contemporary art market. • CIGE 2011 SPECIAL PROJECT CIGE 2011 debuts a new special project—CIGE and participating galleries collaborate to curate a top-notch, exquisite art space within the general fair. This project offers visitors a brand new visual experience of the finest artworks from all over the world. • CIGE 2011 CROSSOVER This event seamlessly integrates art with brand recognition. The event is aimed at raising the possibility of cross-disciplinary dialogues and at enriching the discourse between art and business.
