A Festival of Popular World Cinema

None
Spend your August Bank Holiday watching the best of popular cinema from around the world. Step up for hip-hop dance from Vietnam, teen boxing drama from Jamaica, action-adventure from India and a very sexy thriller from the Congo (DRC). The GLOBAL PICTURE PALACE festival of popular world cinema is UK’s first ever festival of popular world cinema, in a two-screen pop-up cinema. There’s a whole world of entertaining, populist cinema that isn’t produced in Hollywood – but one doesn't often get the chance to see it. This festival is a chance to watch some of the very best popular global cinema on the big screen, and in a truly unique venue – a pop-up cinema in the courtyard of the Stephen Lawrence Centre in Deptford.
