MDeC is incorporated under the Companies Act of Malaysia, and owned and funded by the Malaysian Government. Its role is to advise the Malaysian Government on legislation and policies, develop MSC Malaysia-specific practises, and set breakthrough standards for multimedia operations.

In facilitating the development of high value creative activities in Malaysia, the MDeC serves as champion, facilitator and partner. As a performance-oriented, client focused agency, it endeavors to cut through the proverbial bureaucratic red-tape to provide timely information and practical advice, expedite permit and license approvals and introduce companies’ potential local partners, financiers and distributors.

Incentives are offered on a case-to-case basis.
